About VISUALS

Our Mission Statement and Mandate

  • VISUALS, the Squamish Valley Artists’ Society, is a non-profit organization supporting the development, education and promotion of local visual artists.
  • VISUALS creates mentoring and networking opportunities for artisans to share their knowledge and skills, and assists in the development of artistic skils as well as professional business, marketing, and sales skills.
  • VISUALS promotes raising community awareness and appreciation for the economic, social and cultural value of local artisans.

Membership

We have new and exciting initiatives in the works for VISUALS! Things are happening around our town and we want VISUALS members to participate. To this end, we’re partnering with festivals happening in Squamish to promote and raise awareness of the artistic strength of our community and sell our art.

Your membership includes:

Drop By A Meeting

VISUALS meets the 1st and 3rd Weds of each month from 7-9pm at Quest University:

  • The 1st Weds of each month is a brief business meeting and then afterwards is a critique night. All art forms welcome and encouraged!
  • The 3rd Weds of each month is a demo night. We’ll post a schedule of demos once we have it available.

You’ll find us downstairs from the cafeteria in the Private Dining Room. Go to the University Service building and take the stairs or the elevator downstairs to the 2nd floor. If you’re not familiar with the Quest campus, you’ll find a map here.
